My path into public service began in 2018, in the aftermath of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. I was a founding member of Freedom From Fear, a student-led coalition advocating to reduce gun violence in Massachusetts. That experience showed me the importance of leaders who are willing to listen, engage, and act.In college, I focused on policy and systems-level change. I worked as an interpersonal violence peer educator and contributed to housing policy efforts with the Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York City. I also gained experience in Massachusetts government, interning for State Senator Vanna Howard and serving as Field Director for Representative Tara Hong’s successful grassroots campaign in 2024.

I grew up in Andover and attended Andover High School, where I was involved in show choir, acting, and rugby. Those experiences helped shape who I am and connected me deeply to this community.I went on to attend Iona University, where I graduated magna cum laude with degrees in political science and criminal justice, and was selected for the prestigious Presidential Fellowship program at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress.

I’m focused on the issues that matter most to our communities—lowering costs for working families, strengthening our public schools, protecting our environment, and making government more transparent and accountable. My approach is simple: deliver real results, stay accessible to the people I represent, and make sure our state government is working for everyone, not just a few.

I’ve always believed that advocacy should lead to action. In 2024, I was a main signatory on a nationally recognized op-ed on gun violence prevention that became the most widely published article across college newspapers in the country.I’ve also worked extensively on climate and energy issues. I’ve led initiatives with organizations like Citizens Climate Lobby and the Sunrise Movement, and I currently serve as a policy advisor to Massachusetts Interfaith Power and Light, where I focus on reducing energy costs and advancing renewable solutions.In addition to my policy work, I’ve served as a nonprofit leader in my community. I sit on the Board of Advisors for the Lowell Festival Foundation, where I help lead global vendor and scholarship initiatives for the Lowell Folk Festival, and on the Board of Directors for the Thomas Paine Historical Association, where I support efforts to expand public access to its historic site. These roles have reinforced my commitment to service, collaboration, and delivering results for the communities I serve.

Like many people in the Merrimack Valley, I’ve experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to build a future here. After graduating, I returned home and currently work while continuing to pursue a career in public service.I’m running for State Representative because I want to make sure that people who grow up here can afford to stay, build their lives, and succeed in the communities they love. I believe government should work for the people it serves—and I’m committed to delivering real, practical results for our district.

Now we need to ensure that every student can benefit from them.We can create an ideal environment for learning by building a factual and comprehensive curriculum, implementing evidence based and student-centered policies, and treating our educators with the respect and dignity they deserve.<h3>Investing in Public Education</h3>A strong education system is the foundation of a strong society.I support fully funding our public schools and ensuring resources are distributed equitably across districts. That means continuing to implement and strengthen commitments like the Student Opportunity Act so every student, regardless of zip code or educational needs, has access to a high quality education.Where a student lives should not determine the quality of their education.<h3>Supporting and Respecting Educators</h3>Our educators are the backbone of our communities.I support increasing teacher pay, improving working conditions, and expanding pathways into the profession. We need to address teacher shortages by investing in recruitment, retention, and professional development, with a particular focus on supporting early-career educators more susceptible to the high cost of living.We must also provide additional support and funding for paraprofessionals, including teaching assistants and special education staff, who play a critical role in supporting students and ensuring classrooms can meet diverse learning needs.Respecting educators means listening to them, supporting them, and giving them the tools they need to succeed.<h3>Evidence Based, Student Centered Learning</h3>Education policy should be guided by what works for students.I support evidence-based approaches that prioritize student outcomes, including smaller class sizes, individualized support, academic freedom for teachers, and modernized curriculum standards. Students learn differently, and our policies should reflect that.A strong curriculum should prepare students not just academically, but for civic life and critical thinking.<h3>Expanding Access to Early Education</h3>Learning begins before kindergarten.I support expanding access to affordable, high quality early education and childcare. Programs like Universal Pre-K Massachusetts are critical to closing opportunity gaps and supporting working families. That includes fully funding and strengthening Chapter 70 to ensure every district has the resources to support students, retain educators, and deliver a high-quality public education.Investing early leads to better outcomes for students and stronger communities.<h3>Career, Technical, and Higher Education Pathways</h3>Every student deserves a path to success.I support strengthening career and technical education programs, expanding vocational training, and making higher education more affordable. That includes increasing support for public colleges, expanding dual enrollment programs, and investing in workforce-aligned programs that prepare students for good-paying jobs.Success should not be limited to one path. We need to support all of them.<h3>Safe and Supportive Schools</h3>Students learn best when they feel safe and supported.We need to ensure our school buildings and properties are optimized for public health and meet environmental standards. I also support increased access to school-based mental health services, anti-bullying initiatives, and resources that support student wellbeing. Schools should be places where every student feels respected, included, and able to succeed.&nbsp;

Government operates best when people can see it, understand it, and trust it. Right now, too much of what happens on Beacon Hill is out of public view. That needs to change.I will advocate for increased transparency, accountability, and fairness in the State House so the people of Massachusetts can be confident their elected representatives truly work for them.&nbsp;<h3>Election Day Voter Registration</h3>Our elections require reforms to ensure access and participation in the spirit of true democracy imagined by Thomas Paine.I support Election Day voter registration, allowing eligible voters to register and cast a ballot on the same day. Legislation like the An Act to allow same day voter registration in Massachusetts would remove unnecessary barriers and ensure that no one is turned away because of missed deadlines or administrative hurdles.Massachusetts has made progress expanding access to voting, but we can go further. Making registration available on Election Day is a safe and proven way to strengthen participation and ensure every citizen’s voice is heard.&nbsp;<h3>Open Meetings</h3>Decisions that affect millions of people should not happen behind closed doors.I support applying the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law to the legislature. I also support reforms to increase public access to hearings, votes, and deliberations.Sunlight is not a threat to effective representative democracy. It is what makes it possible.<h3>Stipend Reform</h3>Taxpayers deserve to know how public money is being spent.I support reforms similar to proposals filed in recent sessions that would require full public disclosure of legislative stipends and tie them to clearly defined roles and responsibilities. Compensation should be transparent, justified, and accountable to the public.Public service is about responsibility, not perks.<h3>State House Union</h3>The people who keep our government running deserve a voice.I support An Act relative to collective bargaining for legislative staff, which would allow State House staff to unionize. Staffers are essential to the legislative process, and they should have the ability to advocate for fair pay, reasonable hours, and professional working conditions.Stronger public servants will benefit all of us.<h3>Public Records</h3>Access to information is a cornerstone of democracy.Massachusetts consistently ranks among the worst states for public records access. That is unacceptable. I support strengthening the Massachusetts Public Records Law, including reforms like those proposed in this year’s ballot question to ensure timely responses, reduce excessive fees, and expand access to legislative records.The public should not have to navigate insurmountable levels of bureaucracy to see what their government is doing.<h3>Independent Audits</h3>Accountability requires real oversight.I support regular, independent audits of the legislature and state agencies. The ballot initiative to audit the legislature reflects a broader need for transparency and accountability in how public funds are used.Audits should be conducted regularly, taken seriously, and made fully available to the public.Transparency builds trust, and trust is essential to effective government.

Government should be open, accountable, and responsive to the people it serves. I will push for stronger transparency on Beacon Hill, expand access to public records, and support independent audits to ensure taxpayer dollars are being used responsibly. A government that shows its work is one people can trust.

Too many families are being priced out of the communities they call home.At the same time, the ultra wealthy and large corporations continue to avoid paying their fair share by taking advantage of systemic loopholes.We need reforms that lower costs, raise standards, and build an economy that works for everyone.<h3>Lowering the Cost of Living</h3>Everyday expenses are rising faster than wages.I support policies that directly lower costs for families, including action on housing, healthcare, childcare, and energy. That includes advancing measures like An Act relative to energy affordability Massachusetts to bring down utility costs and protect ratepayers, while expanding access to essential services.Working families should not have to stretch every dollar just to get by.<h3>Fair Taxes and Closing Loopholes</h3>Our tax system should reward work, not wealth.Massachusetts has taken important steps with measures like the Massachusetts Fair Share Amendment, but more needs to be done to ensure that the wealthiest individuals and large corporations contribute their fair share.I support closing corporate tax loopholes, strengthening enforcement, and advancing reforms like An Act to close corporate tax loopholes in Massachusetts to ensure our tax system is fair, transparent, and focused on long-term economic stability. We should also build on the success of the Fair Share Amendment by exploring additional progressive revenue measures that ask those at the very top to contribute more, allowing us to invest in our communities without placing greater burden on working families.A fair tax system is one that works for everyone, not just those at the top.<h3>Housing Affordability</h3>Housing is at the center of the affordability crisis.I support increasing the supply of affordable housing, accelerating responsible development, and strengthening programs that help first-time buyers and renters stay in their communities. That includes building on laws that expand housing options and reduce pressure on prices, as well as supporting smart, locally-driven rent stabilization policies to give renters more predictability and the ability to save for the future.Renters should have a fair shot at becoming homeowners, not be priced out of the communities they help sustain.People who work in our communities should be able to afford to live in them.<h3>Good Jobs and Economic Opportunity</h3>Affordability starts with access to good jobs.I support policies that create good-paying jobs, strengthen worker protections, and invest in industries that will drive long-term growth. While many economic challenges are shaped by decisions at the federal level, we have a responsibility in Massachusetts to build a strong job market that works for our communities.That includes supporting small businesses, expanding workforce development programs, and advancing legislation like Raise Up Massachusetts minimum wage efforts to ensure jobs provide stability and opportunity.A strong economy should create pathways to good jobs for everyone, not just a few.<h3>Supporting Unions and Workers’ Rights</h3>Strong unions are essential to a strong economy.I support workers’ right to organize, collectively bargain, and advocate for fair wages, safe working conditions, and dignity on the job. Unions give workers a real voice and help ensure that economic growth is shared, not concentrated at the top.Massachusetts should continue to strengthen labor protections, support union organizing efforts, and uphold the right of workers to negotiate for better pay and conditions.When workers have power, our communities are stronger.<h3>Childcare and Family Support</h3>For many families, childcare is one of the biggest expenses they face.I support expanding access to affordable childcare and strengthening the sector through proposals like Common Start Massachusetts, which would lower costs for families and better support providers.No family should have to choose between working and caring for their children.

The residents of our community most in need of support are too often the ones who have the hardest time getting it.I will work to ensure that every neighbor, including those living with disabilities, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders, can access the care, resources, and opportunities they deserve.<h3>Removing Barriers to Access</h3>Too often, the challenge is not whether support exists, but ensuring people can actually access it.I support simplifying how residents connect with services by reducing unnecessary paperwork, improving coordination between agencies, and making information clear and easy to navigate.Access should be straightforward, not something people have to fight for.<h3>Protecting Immigrant Communities</h3>I believe Massachusetts must remain a place where immigrant families are treated with dignity, protected under the law, and able to live without fear.I support policies like the PROTECT Act to strengthen safeguards for immigrant residents, eliminating 287(g) agreements that undermine trust in law enforcement, expanding the right to counsel for those who cannot afford it, and ensuring safe public spaces like schools, hospitals, and courthouses remain accessible to all.Massachusetts should continue protecting immigrant workers from exploitation, expanding language access, and ensuring everyone can access essential services. When every resident feels safe and supported, our communities are stronger.<h3>Disability Access and Independence</h3>Accessibility should be built into every part of public life.I will support efforts to improve accessibility in housing, transportation, and public spaces, while strengthening pathways to employment and independent living for people with disabilities. Protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act must be upheld and meaningfully enforced on the state level.Everyone deserves the ability to fully participate in their community.<h3>Mental Health and Substance Use</h3>Support should be available before a crisis, not only after one.I will work to strengthen early intervention, expand access to treatment, and support recovery services that meet people where they are. Efforts like An Act addressing barriers to care for mental health Massachusetts represent important steps, but more must be done to ensure timely and effective care.A system that responds early is one that works.<h3>LGBTQ+ Equity and Protection</h3>Every resident deserves to live with dignity, safety, and equal access to care and opportunity.I support protecting LGBTQ+ rights in Massachusetts, including access to affirming healthcare, inclusive education, and strong anti-discrimination protections in housing, employment, and public life.From the Trump administration’s attempts to remove LGBTQ+ individuals from military service to the broader efforts of far-right Christian nationalists that target this community, we must be clear: Massachusetts will remain a place of inclusion and protection.We must also recognize that LGBTQ+ individuals often face additional financial and social barriers. Ensuring equitable access to healthcare, mental health services, and community-based support is essential to addressing these disparities.Equity means standing up for every member of our community, and making sure no one is left behind.<h3>Community Driven Solutions</h3>Policies are strongest when they reflect real experiences.I will stay closely engaged with local organizations, providers, and advocates to ensure that decisions are informed by the people directly affected. Community based solutions are often the most effective and the most trusted.Good policy starts with listening.

I will utilize my extensive background in environmental and energy policy to advance “Make Polluters Pay” legislation in order to hold major corporations accountable for their environmental impact and manipulative financial practices without fallout on ratepayers.Investing in clean and distributed energy resources will combat the rising costs of transmission, create jobs, and build a more sustainable future for our communities.<h3>Conservation and Access to Nature</h3>Protecting our environment means protecting our quality of life.I support conserving open space, investing in parks and public lands, and ensuring that residents in every region of Massachusetts have access to natural areas where they can connect with their communities and the outdoors.Conservation is not just about preservation; it’s about making sure everyone has the opportunity to experience our Commonwealth’s natural beauty.<h3>Ecosystem Protection and Animal Welfare</h3>Healthy ecosystems depend on responsible environmental practices.Our state government must advance policies that strengthen protections for pets, wildlife, and people alike, such as reducing the spread of PFAS in the environment and prohibiting harmful practices like the use of anticoagulant rodenticides that can unintentionally harm non-target species and disrupt local ecosystems.The protection of animals and natural ecosystems by our government is a moral responsibility that is essential to maintaining environmental balance and community health.<h3>Clean Water</h3>Clean water is essential to public health and environmental sustainability.We must protect and restore vital waterways like the Merrimack, Shawsheen, and Ipswich Rivers, while investing in infrastructure that reduces combined sewer overflows (CSOs) and ensures safe, reliable drinking water for all residents.Our water systems must be protected, not just for today, but for future generations.

Our natural resources are precious and should be protected at all costs.Massachusetts must utilize best practices for conservation, prioritize renewable energy, and ensure that the burden of cost is on the polluters, not the consumers.

I support targeted incentives to grow the workforce, including loan repayment programs, expanded training pipelines, and better support for direct care workers.It is worth investing in the people who care for us.<h3>Expanding Access to Primary and Preventive Care</h3>The best healthcare system is one that works proactively.I support expanding access to primary care and preventive services, especially in underserved areas. That means investing in community health centers, supporting mobile and school-based care, and making it easier for patients to build long term relationships with providers. Acknowledging and addressing healthcare disparities amongst professions as well as racial and gender demographics must be a key priority.Preventive care saves lives and lowers costs over time.<h3>Moving Toward Single Payer</h3>Healthcare should be a guarantee, not a patchwork of plans and paperwork.I support advancing a single-payer system in Massachusetts, building on proposals like An Act establishing Medicare for All in Massachusetts. A single-payer model would simplify the system, reduce administrative costs, ensure that every resident has comprehensive coverage, and give physicians more time to focus on patients instead of navigating insurance requirements.At the same time, we need to take practical steps now that move us in that direction, including lowering out-of-pocket costs, improving public coverage options, and making the system easier to navigate.We can pursue long-term reform while delivering real relief today.<h3>Women’s Health and Reproductive Care</h3>Access to comprehensive women’s health care is essential to a fair and effective healthcare system.I support protecting and expanding access to reproductive care, including contraception, abortion services, and maternal health care. In Massachusetts, we have a responsibility to safeguard these rights and ensure that care remains accessible, affordable, and free from political interference.We must also address gaps in maternal health, including disparities in outcomes for women of color, by investing in prenatal and postpartum care, supporting providers, and expanding community-based services.Women’s health care is not a niche issue. It is fundamental to the health of our communities, families, and economy.<h3>Mental Health and Behavioral Health Care</h3>Mental health is health care.I support expanding access to mental health and substance use treatment, integrating behavioral health into primary care, and ensuring that patients can get timely support when they need it.No one should be left without care in a moment of crisis.

Massachusetts is home to the nation's most reputable medical institutions. By reducing the price of basic services, incentivizing direct care careers, and reforming our approach to insurance, we will make these resources available to all residents of the Commonwealth.
